    Ajaan, am I getting this right? My understanding is that the dies for these medals were produced in the mid 1700s for Dassier and there was an original run of some number of medals. In the ~ mid 1800's these same dies were used to for additional production runs of some number of medals. Marty mentioned that these are not contemporary medals (meaning that they are not from the original run, but rather that they are from a later (but not modern) run. I guess my question is, are these medals ~ 160 years old? That is my impression. Comments?
