<< <i>What do you guys think would be the best route for cards worth under $100? >>
For me, with the new label change, I have lowered my threshold to $50...Anything valued under $50 will be a pop and resub for me, anything $50 or over will be a review. IMO, the new labeled straight PSA 7s or 8s will be valued less to some degree than the old style flip PSA 7s and PSA 8s. Simple because PSA will have already graded them under the new system as NOT .5 worthy...Won't really have an affect on the low dollar cards though.
Sheer, 100% speculation, but then again so is the question...lol

I'm here to question, not to inspire or build up. To live how I want, as I see fit, according to my values and my needs. Nothing holds dominion over me, I stand alone as the ruler of my life.
<< <i>Not to start any conspiracy theories, but it seems like the reviews are getting a MUCH larger percentage of .5s vs. raw. >>
That's what we have seen so far no doubt...
In some cases, I think it HELPS that PSA sees the card already in say a PSA 8 holder. At that point, all they are trying to determine is if it is better than your average PSA 8. If it's raw, they still have to figure out where it falls on the straight grade scale before determining if a card is .5/high end within that grade.

That is exactly what I was going to say. I can say with a fair degree of certainty that the reviews are bumping (.5) at a much higher percentage than the raw cards are getting that same treatment. Granted, we only have 19 days worth of data so far. We'll see if that trend changes.
