Very nice!! How do YOU capture the colors of the toning on your coins? What kind of lights do you use? -Dan

Very nice, Jeff! Maybe I'm just nit-picking, but I would also go around the edges of the coin with a fine eraser to completely get rid of the white line at about 4-5 o'clock on the obverse. It's more noticeable once you drop the shadow. Great work at capturing color on that one!

Thanks for the advice. Actually, the NGC holder has a LARGE piece of white flash at the reverse bottom that covers up the coin. It's so bad that I really want to get it re-holdered. This was a quick cut/paste to test my new JZr background...Next time I'll use the pencil eraser (especially on the obverse).

I used a single OTT lite on this one. I then went back and bought another one when JoAnne fabrics had them on sale (50% off, $29) about two weeks ago. OTT - I won't use anything else (and I've tried)

I think you can still get them online:
    JoAnne

And then I use the 'Auto Contrast' in Photoshop...it brings out the colors.

Jeff - great pics! I like the background also. Threads like this give me the kick in the butt to reimage some of my favorites and work out a more consistant approach to photography.

really, really nice work there Jeff! stunning coin and superb layout! Ed (SpaceMonkey) is a true gent for allowing the forum to use his neat creations for their coins, i'm looking forward to seeing more of them when people play with the templates a bit.
