Highly unlikely that he has such close shade variances in each room's rug. I'm just being overly critical though. Im sure if he allows "in person" viewing its close to legit. One of those last pictures actually looks like a complete 1965 set, or at least the full first page of leader cards which is how it would start in a complete binder.
LOL from his description "Real people only" so don't send an android
Go with cash in hand, waving a bill or two will almost always win out when the chips are down. remember to seperate all the money you have, so he doesn't know exactly how much you came with. A stuffed wallet with money means you have more to spend, so make it look like that's all you got. And be prepared to walk away, sometimes you get called back.
why not maybe he's got other stuff that has to go as well it's a 30 min trip round trip less then a 1 hour total and who knows what you might find??

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
i have done this 3 times from craiglist everytime it was a waste of time and these people wanted nutty prices for junk ...just my experience...maybe he will get lucky
Take a book with you on proper grammar & spelling Maybe u can sell it to him & your trip won't be a total waste of time He's another typical Craigslist idiot save your gas $$$$$$$$
I would go to him with $300, an tell him take it or leave it. He'll most likely take it!
Good looking cards, and he got a binder full, so I think its worth a trip there. I don't think he would refuse your $300 offer in cash while your already in his house, he will take it
Here's what I do. Go ahead and go take a look at the lot. Take special note of any high$ cards. Doesn't look like there are any there. Give the person a fair offer...and say if you want to try and get more that's fine, but this is what I will pay. Leave your number and walk out the door. Don't tell him his cards suck.
I don't make many offers on these lots, but when I do I make a fair offer, and not lowball. I know that every other guy who trolls CL will lowball the guy. The only thing is when you go back make sure the high $ card or cards are still there.
I'd guess I hit 50% on the callbacks. People appreciate a straight shooter and after having 5-10 people denigrate their cards and knowing they have a price they can get they usually appreciate dealing with me.
I think you should send your collection manager on a purchasing trip. Have him drop that Ted Williams pack in the mail on his way.
Gio- Good input given your vast knowledge of vintage baseball cards.
In all seriousness, I would go look. You can probably buy it for less and their could be some high grade commons or semis in there. I see tons of this stuff people bring to me at shows. I tell them I always like to look and I am ready to buy if the numbers work. Most are VG cards at NM prices like others have said, but sometimes you can actually work a deal.
worth a look, bring some funds with you. maybe there are some hidden gems, its a crapshoot. if he's desperate he'll sell for less. Take a friend with you too, ya never know who your dealing with.

My eBay Store
BigCrumbs! I made over $250 last year!
They "Beckett out" the cards at full book as Nm - then ya look at the cards - all vg to ex and realize ya got about 2 - 300 bucks worth of cards.
That's worst case of course.
If ya got the time? Maybe a diamond in the rough? Tho - more likely - ya got a better chance of finding a diamond up a goat's ass.
Good luck if ya decide to go check them out.

just my opinion..
The seller says he is pretty firm on the price.
If the seller walked the batch into a collectible shop, he
would be lucky to get much over $100.
