I got this Nolan Ryan rookie for $57.50

My $57.50 Nolan Ryan 1968 Topps Rookie card arrived a couple of days ago. Card is in pretty bad condition as you can see, but will work well for my intended purposes. I will be sending it down to his foundation to have it signed and then will slab it authentic through PSA. I couldn’t pass up the chance to jump on a Nolan rookie for $57.50 and was actually surprised that it wasn’t worse than it turned out to be. It will be off Tuesday to the foundation and I get to play the waiting game waiting for it to be returned. Once they all come back, it will be 3 signed Nolan rookies. I plan on keeping the nicest one for me, and will use the other two as trade bait for other signed vintage Topps rookies. I know a lot of people don't like looking at low grade cards, but they make neat collectibles for the dollars. Now if I could just find a cheap Rose rookie as well. I got outbid on one today on ebay by about $15.00.

For really expensive cards, I think its already an accomplishment to just own an intact authentic one.

It really does not look bad at all because the color is there and is intact overall. Its not like its rat eaten or found in a dumpster.
