An official XFL football given to our illustrious seller by an equipment manager with the Chargers.... back in the mid to late 90's! Pretty nifty trick considering the XFL did not come to be (and pass) until 2001, eh'?

I link, therefore I am.

I understand the seller forgetting to update their template (they have a number of footballs running now), but the bidders are what puzzle me a bit. A normal ball, which has not experienced the thrill of time travel, would typically go for $20.

Snorto~

San Diego Padres were a minor league team for years, so the ball could be legit. Ted Williams and Bobby Doerr played for them in the mid thirties, they were in the Pacific coast league and Joe Dimaggio played for the San Francisco Seals at the time.

Padres were a triple-A team in 1959. They played in Westgate Park. The names on the ball seem feasible enough, although Johnny Briggs was only 15 in 1959.

Oh, I see what you mean, it should be listed under minor league baseball, not MLB.
