remember topps quality control 1973

1964 Sadecki with the word ass next to him

and of course

"that great paper used for the 1973 set" which has to be the worst set of all time vintage.

For example look at the Rich Mckiney card of 73 but I bet you did not know that the cubs did not have numbers on the back of their uniforms

  • If you use the 'HTTP' button on the 'reply to a message' screen you can make a link out of the URLs you pasted to your message. To post the pictures only, you will have to copy the images to your computer, upload them to a photo hosting site (I use photobucket.com), then link to the photo using the photo button on the 'replying to a message' screen (4th button from the left).

1973 Topps is one of my top three favorites, behind 1956T and 1960T.
  • Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

If you guys recall some of my earlier posts, I originally shunned the 1973 set and was simply going for 1974-present. Even though I still don't think that much of 1973's design, the photos more than make up for it. I especially like the backgrounds in some of the photos. And the set's book value is only $550 if you don't count the Schmidt RC, so it's not like doing this set would be all that expensive.
