    EDITED:

I have decided that I will be taking part in the eBay boycott from Feb 18-25. During this time I will not be listing anything new on eBay.

HOWEVER, I will be offering some nice items right here.

Sorry, I missed it and created a new one. image

Lots of snow here, let's play with each other's coins.

Two nice Swiss coins no reserve on my ebay, and only a few more available . The store list is basically already spoken for, but I still have a few left, in the store or not yet.
Please inquire now if you want something specific.

This is sort of a giveaway. Sort of. I am asking a little bit of money, so it's not a true giveaway, but it's a sacrifice deal that should be a good bargain, if you're interested.

I have a like-new Littleton "Coins Of The Ancient Roman Empire" album. Nice album, and it cost me forty bucks here. Since it's just an emperor set (no empresses), and I decided to include the ladies in my Roman coin collection, I moved my collection from this album to my own custom binder.

I used this Littleton album only a month or two, and it's like new. Cost me forty bucks, like I said. It's a very nice album.

    image

Who'll give me $25 for it?

Now, here's where the giveaway part comes in. I will also include a coin with it.

    image

The coin is a silvered bronze antoninianus of the emperor Aurelian, who reigned circa 270 to 275 AD. This particular coin has some traces of the original silvering on it, unlike a lot of them. This partial silvering gives it a rather mottled look which makes it perhaps not the best looking coin out there, but it's probably worth another, oh, twenty bucks or so in its own right.

So, roughly speaking, you'll get a forty-dollar album and a twenty-dollar coin, for 25 bucks. Not a bad deal.

However, I would like to limit this deal only to those who have a desire to collect Roman coins, not to somebody who's just gonna flip the stuff on eBay or whatever. I would like to start somebody else out, just as I did, almost a year ago. It would be nice to have some fellow novice collectors of Roman coins around.

This album and a starter coin (or maybe, just maybe TWO starter coins, if I have another extra)... to start a collection for somebody.

By the way, the Aurelian antoninianus came from my own personal collection, and I only recently upgraded. In fact, if you look at my collection right now, it is still showing the picture of this coin, since I have not yet added a picture of the upgrade yet.

PS- though I would mostly prefer to sell this to some beginning collector of Roman coins, this is not a basic, simple album- it includes slots for just about all of the commonly-encountered emperors, and some darned scarce ones, too. I can go into more detail describing the album makeup if you like. Somewhere I have some scans I made of a few individual pages and such.

That's a wonderful offer Rob, and it really deserves to go to a new Roman coin collector. I wonder if there would be a way for you to simply add the missing pages with the ladies, but it looks as if you've already found a better solution, in which you must have spent several hours of personal work...
