Just received a parcel from the APS store, including the piece below.
It's faulty and beat up, what's the big deal?
It's an example of a printed cancel from the Andrew Dougherty Playing Card Company. While not exceedingly rare (I have several other examples of this cancel), virtually all of the examples I have ever seen of this cancel are on the 1c stamp denomination. This is the first example I've personally seen on the 3c denomination.
I paid about 35% of Scott for the stamp, and I consider that a bargain. This is a case where the cancel is far more interesting and valuable than the stamp itself.

I already have one, but thanks anyway. My guess is it will finish in the $350-$500 range.
