So I emailed CU at PSA

Basically, I submitted 3 cards at the 10 day turnaround service, and the card grades did not show up until the 11th day. I emailed CU after the 10 day about a voucher because they didn't meet the Turnaround Guarantee. Here's what they said:
>>Your order has shipped yesterday and the grades were available in 11
business days. Effect January 14, 2008 all turnaround times are estimated
not guaranteed. We will not be able to issue you a voucher for this
order. <<

But now what is "estimated"? Two days, Five, A month? Just wanted to share this with you.image

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! The term 'estimated' is often abused (or otherwise misused) by corporate bean counters, and it's tres freaking importante that PSA gets called out for taking these kinds of liberties with their customers. If we don't draw a line in the sand now they'll start doing something REALLY nefarious-- like, say, mislabeling cards, or perhaps abandoning the 'first in, first out' system for processing submissions. And who needs those kinds of headaches?

Boo, it's abundantly clear at this point that the warm vodka bottle has been opened...

Either that or he needs to let out the gas bag.

They did announce the "estimated" scheme, previously.

That's an excellent guess, Grote, but I managed a 'glove save' about 20 minutes ago when I found four bottles of a locally brewed ale stashed away in the bowels of the family fridge. Let the good times roll! And don't worry, Mike, I'll be here all night!

BTW, this would be a fine time for me to say that I'm genuinely glad you were reinstated to the boards, Mike (no sarcasm here). You're an old soul with a good heart. Welcome back.
  • I'm sure people who are responsible for a good number of posts on these boards, who have subs months and months past due, are not too sympathic towards you. One day over man, not too bad, especially considering the .5 reviews probably flooding in.

I guess I should say thanks.

Now that it's after midnight here in SA - you can take all the pot shots you want Boo.

Since you can dish it out, I'm glad you can take it.

One thing fer sure - I've heard way worse on these boards over the years.

Hmm, can we now pay an "estimated" amount for the "estimated" 10 day service?

Mike, you are always free to insult me whenever you think the need arises. It's the internet, brother-- there's never a need to take it personal.

I'm drinking a beer called "Victory" Whirlwind Witbier, that tastes mighty fine, some Belgian brew with a blue label and a pic of a beer that looks like a soft-serve cone. Welcome back, again, Stone, and Boo, too, haven't seen you posting around here much of late, either.

    Cheers, my friends! image

  • i just finished that last beer in the house a Long Hammer IPA (except for that 5 gallons that's not quite done brewing in the basement). hmm, time for bed methinks, otherwise i might hit the warm bottle of clear stuff too.

Beer seems to be the topic of the night. I'm drinking the Sam Adams White Ale. I've been disappointed with it though, aside from the fact that it does, in fact, contain alcohol which has the pleasing side effect of making me feel really relaxed and verbose.

    Unofficial defender of the RBI

You sure Dallas knows about this? image

You know that Gebe Tenace once had 4 RBI's in a SINGLE game....well, I'm not even sure he ever did, but if he did, well, never mind...

Yeah, Dallas knows because he's my unofficial attacker of the RBI nemesis. And if he doesn't know, that's even better because his not knowing will only aid my efforts.
