HS Boys Basketball Team Refuses To Let Female Referee Call Their Game

Crazy of all crazies. CNNSi.com is reporting here: CNNSi.com Story that St. Mary's Academy near Topeka, Kansas refused to let a female referee call their game because Campbell, "as a woman, could not be put in a position of authority over boys because of the academy's beliefs." If that's true, I can only wonder what other kind of beliefs the school has.

    Not saying that I agree with their decision, but there is some scripture that eludes to the fact
    that Christ is head of the man, and man is the head of the woman. Many have interpreted and applied this differently.

    But to call this "crazies of all crazies" is a stretch IMO. I have heard of much "crazier" stuff in religious circles.
    Like killing a woman for losing her viriginity, or gang raping her for losing her virginity, or not allowing girls
    to ride bicycles, or go to school.

    If you think about it, basketball has been around for 100+ years in America, and only a few women have
    officiated a man's game. Women are more emotional then men, and I'm sure the verbal abuse you get
    as a basketball official could be taxing on a woman.
