Help with 1936 Canadain Nickel

Can someone give me some more info. on this canadian nickel? Were these minted in proof? The surfaces are very prooflike even though I couldn't quite capture that in the photo. Are their two variations of the date for this year? Someone said there is a flat date and a curved date but I could not confirm that. Any guess at the grade?

  • There are no Proofs. There is a Specimen strike of 1936 Canadian nickel, but this coin is not a Specimen. Specimen coins have a much stronger strike, have more clearly defined edges, and typically have flatness on the tops of the letters.

The coin looks like a polished EF coin to me, but then again, that may be the image.
