Major League Baseball Line of Urns and Caskets

I saw this a while ago from it being on the news and was going to post this but forgot. If you were a fan of one of the teams, would you buy one of these? I kind of like the urns and though I am still young and don't plan on dying any time soon, still kind of cool. It reminds me of a cookie jar....hmmm.

What do you think?

The Star Trek urn actually looks like a cool piece for the coffee table - without the ashes though

That StarTrek urn they've got on that site is pretty nifty looking.

A number of years ago, my cousin's husband died tragically in a motorcycle crash (got run over by a semi truck who's driver fell asleep at the wheel). He was a diehard Raiders fan, and he was buried in a Raiders jersey that once hung in a display case on his wall (signed by several players, I don't know who). All of his pallbearers, his wife, and his kids wore Raiders jerseys too. The casket had a Raiders flag draped across it at the wake.

If these had been around back then, I’m sure he’d want to be buried in a Raiders casket too.

Way, way, way too fan-core for me.

  • I'd totally go for a Reds casket... if I still am a diehard fan MANY years from now. Why get buried in a boring casket like everybody else?

  • I wonder if i could get a Star wars death star Urn..that would be cool and ironic at the same time.
  • I think the urns are neater than the caskets, but then again I'm a cremation kind of guy. No use saving a dead carcass once I've shuffled off this mortal coil, just burn me up and put me in a small container. image

I have been thinking about getting one just for storing things in it as well as a caught baseball. They also have ones for animals which I am thinking about switching my dog ashes are in which is an ugly wooden box with his remains in a ziplock baggie. I guess I have plenty of time to do this though. Still cool! Good to hear others opinions who also like them. That way I know I am not all too weird. image

I have decided to be cremated when I croak and have my ashes dumped at sea by the USN, except for 1 gram of DNA to be kept in the same vault as President Ted and one gram to be (censored)

Collecting my sports heroes, Roger Staubach and Kirby Puckett.
  • It seems appropriate that the display casket had a Cubs logo.

That can be changed by clicking on the team logos. image
  • Someone is buying them since there is a market for them. Personaly, I don't care what I'm in when I'm dead.

For some reason, every one comes up Cubs. If you look closely it says RIP 1902-1945
