Are eBay sellers getting worse and worse?

Seems to me that eBay sellers, as a whole, are getting much ruder and much less customer service driven by the minute. This is far different from the eBay of not too long ago when you could actually expect a response from a seller, and most of the time it was actually a nice one (gasp!). Now you get raped for shipping costs, have to wait forever to get your item, and get rude or no responses from sellers who seem to think it's a privilege for you to bid on their items.

Bottom line is that there are a lot of rude idiots in this world, and with the huge number of people on eBay the law of averages tells us that they'll be on there too. But I can honestly say it's a more hostile, less friendly place to do business than it was just 5 years ago. And that sucks.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
