Anyone see the video of Zednick?

Wow what a gruesome injury, maybe the NHL needs to get these guys something like a turtleneck with some rubber imbedded to give them some protection as this is about the 3rd time it's happened.

    I can't imagine having the presence of mind to bolt to the bench after that kind of horrific injury. I probably would've crumpled to the ice and bled to death right there. For as bad as this one looked, I remember Clint Malarchuk's appearing even worse, but I'm not sure that I want to watch it right now.

    Did anyone see the linesman this week get a bloody face during a game, then go over while bleeding a lot and
    try to break up some fights. I think the guy is 59 years old, and is going to retire this year. I think it
    was the Rangers-Flyers game, but not too sure. I think it was Pat Dapuzzo. Pat's a NJ guy, and does a lot
    of the Rangers, Devils, Flyers games because of where he lives.

    Just plain nasty!!! They need some kind of neck protection. I think Speedskater's full body suits are made of cut proof material. Maybe they need to incorporate that into a type of hood for hockey players. Sure, it rarely happens, but if it saves one life, it's worth it. Try to evolve, just like the use of helmets, then the use of face masks..........imagine the days when goalies didn't have face masks!! haha

    Worst thing I've seen at an in-person sporting event in my life. Malarchuk was bad, I was 15, and it's all we talked about at school and watched on tape for weeks - but I thought Zednik was going to die - it was like a scene from Kill Bill... if his corotid had been fully severed (they said it "was hanging by a thread") we'd probably be talking about a different outcome...
