All right, Attention Dallas Cowboys historians...

I just recently acquired this BEAUTIFUL jersey patch card from a reputable seller and I think it's a gorgeous piece of 1970's NFL history. My only question is what year(s) would there be red in Bob Lilly's uniform and what part of his uniform would this possibly be from? Thanks in advance for your input...

    Wow Nice card. I have attached a link to a NFL uniforms history site. It shows each teams uniform/helmet for each year. Can't say I could find a cowboy one with the red in it like the patch. In 69 they had a NFL 50 year patch that had some red in it.....maybe that's it. Check out the website excellent info

    This is just a guess, but it looks like it could be a Pro-Bowl jersey.

    No expert here but the only uniform with red accent that I can recall is the the red, white and blue helmet stripe to commerorate the bicentennial in 1976. The Pro Bowl jersey theory may be the ticket...

    Great card though...
