The Lollar maybe, the others look ok to me.

    Did I win?

    Good for you.
  • The 2 62s are very possibly trimmed the Ryan I don't think so.
  • how do they measure up?
  • Top border on the first card looks a little off

I am fairly confident that the first two are trimmed...the Ryan I am not as confident on..but It looks questionable to me.

all 3 right sides looked trimmed to me.

I think the first 2 are trimmed off the top edge. I'm less certain about the Ryan.

agree about the first two being at the top, if the ryan is it could be on the right edge.

  • I think maybe all 3 on the top edges. It looks like they all 3 have little white flecks on the edges, except for the tops. Did they come from the same seller?

Have ya inspected the edges with a 10x or stronger? Does it have the appearance of being crushed compared to the other edges?

I think the Ryan looks good - nice card BTW - in the world of 75T Ryans - that's about as good as it gets with respect to centering!

What about measurement on the 62s?

Why in the world would someone trim the 62s? To make a $5 card appear to be a $7 card? They are still diamond cut. I have to admit my eyesight is not what it used to be and it never was good. I have purchased many cards I found were recolored or trimmed. I can not understand why someone would undermine their reputation by this kind of conduct just for a few dollars. Maybe they do not value repeat customers. I tend to purchase cards already graded for peace of mind. The seller of the cards may not be the trimmer, he or she may just buy & sell & did not notice or maybe they are not trimmed. Sorry to ramble on and on but it irritates me that someone would deliberately cheat others and for what? a few dollars. And no I am not saying only rip someone off if there is a big payday.

Unless it appears blatantly obvious from these scans, who knows? It is so much easier to see these in hand. A ruler and loupe and good lighting and the use of your own hands. A few checks and you would have your answer. Sorry.

"It is much easier to see these in hand." Sheer brilliance.

Purchasing cards already graded doesn't necessarily mean much either (usually it does, but not always). I bought 4 1961 Fleer basketball cards that were PSA 7's and crossed them to my BVG registry (I know, I know - but I like the slabs) and they came back altered with notes saying each one has one trimmed edge. Some people are REALLY good at trimming.
  • Not a professional grader by any means and have never studied the 62 cards referenced but on the top right corner they both seem to curve up and are a little jagged. Just my 2 cents. But like I said all the cards in this set could be that way.

Ron, did you buy these 3 cards off of Brick? (rolling eyes)

I believe all 3 cards are trimmed. The Ryan imo is trimmed on the right edge. You can see little strips of white in the beginning of the pink border to the middle. I'm not talking about chipping, which is different. The slits of white which I'm accustomed to on colored border cards is when a blade goes down on the front, but the cut was uneven. So they flip the card over and try to even it from the other side....by doing so, the blade runs over that colored pink border again which will leave a strip of white. I could be wrong in this case, and I hope I'm wrong. Good luck! That Ryan top sure is perfect though....too perfect?
  • brick- there would be many reasons to trim common cards. Pratice makes perfect you know. Should a trimmed common from 1962 end up graded PSA 9 or 10 we are not talking 2 or 3 dollars difference.

The 62's look like they are trimmed to me, or is it a tilt? The Ryan looks good
