So 8 of 35 cards you sent in got bumped? 7 got the .5 and 1 got a full bump?

    Nice!!

That is almost 25% I think?

    Steve
    Good for you.

My 13/5 special from 2/1 hasn't popped yet. What time is the latest you've ever got the email from PSA or had an order pop? Is 5pm PST the latest?

Scans for some of what bumped...Its definitely not ALL about centering...Some of my better centered cards did not receive the upgrade...

Hmmm those cards look nicely centered to me, however I bet the corners also have to be better then the normal 8.

Jason you mentioned you would send only cards that had a decent spread between price. These fit that?

    Steve
    Good for you.

nevermind I misread what you said.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Very nicely done!

Its always good to get a full bump image

Agreed, I think corners are playing a MAJOR part, at least equal to centering aspect...

All of these are between $200-$700 in PSA 8...9's all worth well into 4 digits for each of these...Only cost $13 per card to review...WELL WORTH the submission fees for what I got in bumps...

  • Jas, you made out very well!!!

considering the 50 and 51 Bowman's sell for $450 to $550 in PSA 8, and NO PSA 9 sales on record at VCP, i would say ONE .5 BUMP would have covered your grading fee, you got possibly $1000's worth of upgrades there sir....

edited to add..funny we posted this at the same time!

Only for those with low end cards for the grade...Or commons that might not be worth the grading fees in value gained..I dont foresee putting any of these on the market anytime soon, but hey never say never...lol

Collectors who have purchased high quality stuff (card over holder) through the years should be rewarded nicely with increased values...

It's nice to finally see the other side of the coin on the .5 discussion!

Are all cards not bump worthy going to be considered now low end for the grade? It is interesting to see how card pricing is in about 6 months as when low end cards are dumped on the market.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

These did NOT bump, would you consider them "low end" for the grade?

    imageimage

LOW END cards for the grade will still be considered low end..SOLID cards for the grade like the ones above will still stay at PSA 8 levels..The high end .5s for the grade will be considered premium for the grade and will sell somewhere between 8 and 9 prices..I don't see any reason that cards that are solid for the grade would go down in price..Particularly when they might still be caniddates for a bump? I can guarantee the 2 cards listed above will end up back at PSA for another look down the road. Personally, I am sold that both of Hutson and Tunnell are "premium" cards for their grade.

Hey, I need a Hutson for my set.

I will GLADLY pay you a low-end 8 price for that one.

Please?! Pretty please?!? With sugar on top?!?!?!?!

    Did I say please yet?

What I really meant to say...

All 8s that were rejected for a .5 bump will plummet in value. Get out while you can!! The sky is falling, the sky is falling.

I'll pay your review fee and you'll be thankful to get that much.

Jas, those are some great looking football cards, do you have a complete set of the 63 fleers? If I'm not mistaken it was Cool Lenny Dawson's first card.

Nope, just HOF rookies...My Dawson didn't cut the centering mustard for resub...Still a solid 8 though..I actually thought this Alworth had a stronger chance than the Buoniconti...Scans:

Thanks for posting the Dawson card, someday I'm going to do his player set, he was my favorite when I was a kid.

Jason the Buniconnti <sp> is much cleaner, the Alworth on the left side has some red ink running.

    Could that be why?

    All are sweet cards!

    Very nice job Jason!

I'ld be in .5 heaven with that return.

I would imagine if Davilillo got that kind of return on his review, he'ld be declaring a national holiday!

    Congratulations

My $35 sub should be done in the next couple of days..It has Unitas and Hornung PSA 8's as well as some 35 Chicle and 48 Leaf RCs in it...

I will post results, hopefully will help with anyone looking to send in a review order as to what they are looking for...
