I'm not suprised as I can only agree with those sellers who complaint about the Ebay changes. I just don't think it's going to make a difference. Ebay has grown too big to really care about the people who use their services - as the statement in the article you link to clearly shows
There is a need to change the feedback system to try and prevent retaliatory feedback, but the present solution is ridiculous. I don't understand who Ebay doesn't expand their "detailed seller rating" system to buyers so that the sellers would be able to check how fast the buyer pays and so on.
I dunno about the new fees, since it's been a month or two since I sold anything, but I for one am sick of eBay constantly fiddling around with the format of things- changing this, tweaking that, and "fixing" stuff that ain't broken. It's gotten deucedly difficult to figure out what one is doing when one only lists things occasionally. My waves of eBay sales are often months apart, and every time I go to sell a new batch, something's different- sometimes radically different.
Quit monkeying around with stuff, already. Even improvements can be a pain to deal with sometimes, when the site is constantly changing.
I'll be looking for alternatives, now, I suppose. It is still gonna be hard to resist the global exposure one's items get when one uses the 800-Pound-Gorilla of online auction sites.
What eBay needs is REAL competition. They've been the 800-Pound-Gorilla too long. Maybe this will boost one of their larger competitors enough so it can steal some of the market share. That could be a good thing for all of us.
I think this boycott is much ado about nothing, personally. However, I understand why some people are upset.
I have had much better luck with the BST right here, and NO FEES. Has anyone ever thought about what would happen if the BST was no longer available here. The provider (CU) can giveth, and the provider (CU) can taketh away...
Might be a good idea to have a BST backup in place, or does one already exist?

I have asked about a Darkside BST but I keep getting the same response, "We have a weekly thread for it"..... The weekly thread works well for now but I see that it grows each week and eventually will become 3 pages, which will be too long for a weekly BST thread. Todd
