<< <i>7.5 maybe? Centering is a little off for 8's IMO >>
Obviously I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure centering is going to have to be dead on to get a .5 grade. I think those have a shot at an 8. I've seen cards with much worse centering get 8's and 9's. Nice cards.

Can you tell me what the centering criteria is for an 8? >>
NM-MT 8: Near Mint-Mint.
A PSA NM-MT 8 is a super high-end card that appears Mint 9 at first glance, but upon closer inspection, the card can exhibit the following: a very slight wax stain on reverse, slightest fraying at one or two corners, a minor printing imperfection, and/or slightly off-white borders. Centering must be approximately 65/35 to 70/30 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the reverse.
<< <i>Good. Now tell me what the centering on those cards measure. >>
Your the Raw expert not me, I only buy graded. All Im saying is they might not get an 8 compared to some cards Ive seen- I did say "IMO" If you got an opinion state it instead of bothering with my 2 cents..

There are 8s that are better and there are 8s that worse. These fall within the centering guidelines for a 9 (not that they should get 9s) so the statement that the centerings are a little off for an 8 would not be true since they easily fall within he centerine guidelines for a PSA 8. There could be other factors preventing them from getting 8s but it won't be centering.

Ron, what do you see wrong with the Rhodes to knock it down to a 6? Also, what about the '58 Aparicio AS and the '67 Ford I posted. Glad to see you notice the best set(s) of the 60s as the 63 and 67 as well!

<< <i>Wasn't Dusty Rhodes a wrestler? >>
Guru, as an Indians fan you should know that Dusty Rhodes helped the Giants sweep the Tribe in the '54 World Series.
I dont think Paul (Perkdog) wasnt "calculating" the centering as much as he was thinking about it from a "distraction" point of view
