Best card design - the 60's

Thought I'd start a "fun" thread about a topic close to my heart....card design.
So here's the question....what do you think are the top five card designs from the 1960's (across all sports)?
Here are my picks....
1) 1962 Topps Football
2) 1964 Philly Football
3) 1968-69 Topps/OPC Hockey
4) 1965 Topps Baseball
5) 1961 Fleer Basketball

1. 1965: Colorful borders/pennants with team logo and the back is very 60's approrpriate.
2. 1963: Also another colorful design and I also like the back design too.
3. 1967: Obviously its strength is in its photography (thus the simpler design); but I also love the olive green backs.
4. 1961: Very classic design on both front and back; good luck with those high numbers though...
5. 1960: Interesting horizontal design (and last time Topps ever did a mostly horizontal designed set)
6. 1966: Simple but effective colorful banner design.
7. 1969: Also a classic design and the back also looks very 60s.
8. 1964: The big team name on top is unique, but otherwise nothing spectacular.
9. 1968: Design is just adequate. Nothing more.
10. 1962: The absoulte worst designed Topps set ever; boring monotone design (w/ no team colors whatsoever) and the pics are nothing to brag about either. And the dark dreary back doesn't help matters either. Essentially hardly any redeming qualities at all (except maybe that baseball history subset). zzzzz...

<< <i>Funny you say that about the '62's Estil! They are my favorite 60's design ( Baseball ) For my taste they just have that vintage look to them.. >>
Remember, I'm into bold colorful designs (good thing there's plenty of those in the 1970s), so a monotone set like this one would put me to sleep. Good thing it's way back in the early 60s so that should I ever make it far enough to start collecting 1960s sets, I can start with 1969, then 1968, then 1967, and so on. I'll probably be around 35 or so before I could ever hope to make it that far back.

The photography is too muddy in '61 and '69. The color terrible in '62 (as evidenced at the extreme by the green tint variations) and the '68 Hemp borders look uninspired. '66 is nice, as are '63 Fleer.

<< <i>1967 Topps Baseball is the top choice of the '60s for me. 1965 would be my 2nd choice with the 1963 set rounding out my top three. >>
Those are my three faves, too. I might switch the 63's to second place and put the 65's in third.
For Football, I like the 66 Philly and 63 Topps sets.
