Does anyone else collect old photos?

I saw this one on ebay - no it's not my auction, but I've bought a lot of my photos from him.
It's got to be one of the coolest pics I've seen, but it's going for more than I'd pay. Nonetheless, I thought I'd post it.

I guess in a way everyone here collects old photos.
Who's the guy outside the cage ????
Would have been a great one to have signed.
Great Mantle photo BTW!
Now this is old:
And this one is Casey Stengel!!!!
The year this was taken, they were called the Brooklyn Robins
Now I don't feel so old.

I met Johnny Podres at a show once a few years ago and he said that there was an advertisement on the wall in the outfield at Ebbets field saying something to the fact that if you hit this sign you'd get a free suit. He also said that the company whose sign it was would pay Duke Snider X amount of dollars (maybe 25 or 50 dollars if memory serves) for every ball he stopped from hitting that sign on a fly.
I have an old photo personalized to me by Blaze Starr. Can't post it though, coz she ain't got nothin on in it.

Thanks Nick, cool info!
<< <i>This one is one of my favorites, I have yet to find one on Ebay. Any leads?
Isn't that the HOF Cooperstown logo on the bottom?
If so - why not go to their web and check out their store?
mike
edit: that's the Cooperstown Collection logo not the HOF - my bad. Who makes that stuff?
A sign for Abe Stark's clothing store, placed directly under the Ebbets Field scoreboard in right-center field, told players "Hit Sign, Win Suit." Any player to hit the sign with a fly ball would get a free suit from Abe's store.
The Brooklyn Dodgers and Ebbets Field and Abe's store are all long gone now, but "Hit Sign, Win Suit" is still remembered as one of New York's greatest business promotions.
<< <i>I just looked at the back of the photo from the auction. It is dated Apr 14th 1957.

Hank Bauer
Thanks for the pic Brian - Very cool!

Did you check my edit?
That's Cooperstown Collection - not the HOF - who makes that stuff anyways - might have to do a google on that one!
Sorry

Nick - that's a great photo!
I actually miss the days of the old ads that were neatly painted around the ball park.

<< <i>Gee Brian - I guess "old" is relative.
It certainly is; I saw some 1990's cards on ebay today described as "vintage"
BTW-GREAT PHOTOS!!!!!!
Lou
Hang it up in the living room
I think I would rather have that Gehrig photo.
Jake
