can you tell me if anything could go wrong on this transaction, and how to prevent it?

Guy emails me after ebay auction, wants to buy my 55 topps set. His feedback is low (65) and he says he gto taken advantage of, off ebay, for 3k in a bank check transaction. I just got paypal payment, should I wait until the balance transfers into my account? I will send it signature confirmation, what other issues, besides a return of an empty box, should I watch out for? Am I just being paranoid?

Wait till the money is cleared/swept/transfered into your NON-PayPal bank-account, then ship w/sig-con and FULL insurance.

ok, great guys thanks! I THOUGHT paypal could STILL jack your account even if you paypal balance was gone, I think I am going to link my AMEX instead of my bank account from now on. How would that work from tranfers of funds though? Have 2 paypal accounts, buying and selling?

Just for the record I have been putting EVERYTHING I am selling on the BST trade board before ebay.

Why not wait for a more honest, non-red flag individual to come along who really loves 55s (like if that's the packs they first bought as a boy/girl) and will appreciate the set more? That'd what I'd do.
