Average pixel count for a modern card is?

I'm thinking of investing in a new Epson scanner (thanks for everyone that recommended Epson in one of the past threads), and after I do I'm going to rescan my Butler collection in full size. I'm going to scan every standard size card with the exact same pixel count for uniformity. Also, where does one find something that measures in pixels?
