Just dug these up today...completely worthless, but great memories.

...1987 Donruss Opening day CLEVELAND INDIANS Team set
(chris bando, not pictured) The Candy Man! Big Andre thornton...good times, lousy record!
I love that Julio Franco is still playing and can still hit a ball! Pat Tabler (Mr Clutch!) Joe C & Cory Snyder,

Back in 1987, it was very popular along with the Rookie set. Isn't that the set with the Bonds error card?
And finally on Franco - the guy's a freak! No one should be still playing at his age! Not really - I'm just green with envy - the guy is in incredible shape.
Wonder if he retired at the end of last season?

Franco is a product of HGH plain and simple, I see 50 year old guys in my gym shredded with muscle, cracks me up actually. Not throwing a barb at you Stone- just throwing that out there.

Aren't there any women there that you could look at?

Edited to note that you referred to Tabler as "Mr. Clutch" as well....great memories!
A couple "did you know" includes that I think Tony Bernazard now works for the Mets front office & that Tom Candiotti played Hoyt Wilhelm in the HBO movie *61
The tribe should have been good in 87, but the pitching blew up.
CDsNuts, 1/9/15
and was also a fine hitter overall. (at least with the Tribe)

Mike,
Your'e right,This is the set with the Bonds error. I remember buying this set when I was a kid
and pulling out the Bonds and Canseco cards and trading them away.

I think Franco is still a free agent. I know the Braves cut ties with him after resigning him from the Mets last year. Hope he can find a team that will help him fulfill his dream of playing until he's 50.
Ahh..and Joe Carter...gotta give some love to him! (not literally)
Pat Tabler always killed the Yanks with the bases loaded, as mentioned!
Julio Franco was probably about 40 in 1987...
For a player as good as Joe Carter, he sure got traded a lot, didn't he? (Cubs, Indians, Padres, Blue Jays, who else?)
<< <i>Cory Snyder's stuff was huge for a small time at the beginning of his career. Then he couldn't hit!

I don't remember the stints with the Orioles or the Giants at all? When were they?
He played for the cubs his very first year for 2 dozen games before being traded to the Indians.
