Can a non-PCGS member submit coins for TrueView?

If I buy a PCGS coin already slabbed, can I submit it for imaging without paying $100 to join?

Sorry, no can do. A PCGS Dealer or Forum Member who's a Collector Club Member can do it though.

If I dropped it off at the PCGS booth at a show, you don't think they'd image it for me?

    Bummer.

I have ~12 PCGS coins that I want to TrueView. Would it be cheaper to submit through a dealer or pay the $100 membership and submit myself?

    Thanks

    Nope, they wouldn't.

Phil, and his equipment, aren't at the shows. Also, to drop it off at the booth, you need a membership and fill out the form.
If you are stuck on a tru-view, work with a board member who is doing a submission or will submit it for you as a 1-off...said board member must be a PCGS member as well...many are.

If you can accept a non-truview, but a great photo, there are at least a half dozen, or more, board member who charge less and take great shots. The only thing is that ONLY PCGS has the chance to photo the coin outside of the plastic with a full guarantee to you (ie....anyone else is either shooting through the plastic or someone has to crack the slab, photo the coin, and resubmit and you better hope it slabs at the same grade (not 'genuine' or a lower grade)...or a higher grade image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

It'd be cheaper to send them to someone who does in-slab pictures, because in addition to the TrueView costs, you'd have to pay for reholdering, I think.

That is my understanding unless your set is complete and you are having it pedigreed. Or something like that.
