    I love baseball!!! image
  • I wouldn't start one at all, perkdog.

It's pretty mean to rub it in people's faces all year long that the Sox are obliterating the rest of the AL East.

    GO SOX!!!

  • It's amazing to visit stubhub and see the prices people are advertising for spring training games.
I think these Red Sox spring training games can fetch more then regular season games. I think the
starting price is 45.00, but I may be wrong.

    Welcome Edmund!

I used to work on the Great Lakes and know that story really well. I actually worked at the Coast Guard base that ran the whole search and rescue case for the ship. I even met one of the guys that was working the radios during the case, he still lives up there. Why'd you choose that user name?

  • May 1976 - U.S. Coast Guard Expedition

During the initial expedition made by the United States Coast Guard in May, 1976, many new discoveries were made. One of these things was the ship itself! The ship was discovered only a few days after the sinking, but this expedition officially determined that the wreckage was the Edmund Fitzgerald through identification of the hull and the name on the ships. Hundreds of photos were taken, and the official United States Coast Guard report was issued following the analysis of the data collected during the expedition. After its investigation, the Coast Guard announced its highly controversial theory that the ship sank due to faulty hatch covers, spawning anger from some and disbelief from researchers and family members.

That was quite the controversial "theory" that the Coast Guard put forth. Many were shocked from that report. However, the report can do nothing to bring back the crew. Thanks for sharing !

Probably a ton. But how many will show a celebration after coming back from down 0-3 in a series? That's right!!! NONE!!!!!

Ah well, sh*t happens! That may be the biggest choke but they still have a long ways to go with how many times the Yanks have made the Red Sox cry! image

Nice of Schill to wait until the Santana derby was over to share his surprise...

I imagine the Red Sox must have known what was going on this entire time with Schilling?

If Schilling knew they were in contention for Santana, I think he is the kind of guy who would have let them know. I can't see him keeping that secret and then hurting the team.
  • So when does the Sox thread open ?
What will the thread title be ?

Also, there is a funny picture of Andy Pettite on bostondirtdogs.com today.
