Will Clark, Gary Carter and Emmitt Smith

I opened a white enevelope today sent from an Ebay seller. Of course, there were cards in it but they where not damaged. Anyway, I'm sitting here staring at the cards thinking there has to a mistake, I didn't win any 1990 Classic Will Clark or Gary Carter cards??
I pull the cards from the sleeve to find a really sweet 1998 Playoff Momentum Emmitt Smith superbowl stamp card sandwiched between the other cards. It all makes sense now. He just used Will and Gary as protection for Emmitt
Sorry digicat and ajw. I really didn't know the seller would desecrate Will in such a horrible manner or I never would have bid on his auctions
The surprising thing is, Will looks like he could grade a 10, a 9 no problem. Gary looks good except he has a slight impression of the Emmitt card on the surface. The Emmitt card is plastic, that is why it did that.
ajw or digicat, either of you guys are welcome to Will if you like. Just let me know
If anyone would like the Carter card, let me know as well.

Back in the 90s, there was a guy who used those cheap desert shield cards (not Topps!) as filler when shipping cards in a box to me.
Maybe this a "sign" - you're supposed to start a Will Clark Registry Set!!!!

I really don't know how or why the the scans of the Will Clark and Gary Carter cards were deleted and only the Emmitt remains

<< <i>what are the cards on the bottom row? >>
The ones that wrap around the perimeter? 1986 Donruss "The Rookies" Will Clarks. When I was a kid, this was the #2 best Clark to have. The #1 was the 1987 Fleer.

<< <i>digicat - I get you and AJW mixed up. I sent him a bunch of the Thrill cards to him. I'll see what other one's I have and send some to you. I used to have over a thousand Will Clark cards during my collecting days. >>
Cool. I'd be happy to add them to the hoard, pm me!

<< <i>I've got If I remember 500 of those 87 topps will clark's. Back in the day I think it was Jim Carr cards you could order dang near any amount you wanted of rookie cards. Nice display, what are the cards on the bottom row? >>
Yeah, I think it was Jim Carr. I bought several of those lots. The first time I purchased 800 David Cone 1987 Donruss RC's for like $0.08 each. I picked up 800 card lot of a couple other Royals at the time and pretty much just got lucky.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
