PSA graded autograph cards stolen in burglary

Dear Fellow Collectors:

On January 3, 2008, my home in Sacramento was burglarized and the burglars stole from me over three hundred graded cards, including over two hundred PSA graded cards and approximately one hundred USA graded cards.

Among the PSA graded cards were over 140 of the 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks (blue background) parallel autograph cards. If the burglars have not taken the cards out of their slabs, the cards were all PSA graded and each has a sequential number on the back between 0001 and 0100.

I will pay a small reward in cash or cards to anyone who can help me recover some or all of my cards.

Among the cards stolen from me in the burglary were:

1.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Barry Bonds sequentially numbered on the back # 0046 and graded PSA 7;
2.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Barry Bonds sequentially numbered on the back # 0100 and graded PSA 7;
3.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Roger Clemens sequentially numbered on the back 0023 and graded PSA 7;
4.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Nomar Garciaparra sequentially numbered on the back # 0096 and graded PSA 8;
5.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Greg Maddux sequentially numbered on the back 0095 and graded PSA 8;
6.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Cal Ripken, Jr. sequentially numbered on the back # 0035 and graded PSA 8; and,
7.) 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks Alex Rodriguez sequentially numbered on the back # 0037 and graded PSA 7.

Also, ten of my 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks were sequentially numbered # 0002; I will like to find any of my cards or any other 1998 Signature Series Century Marks sequentuially numbered 0002.

Anyone who can help me locate my cards stolen in the burglary has my sincere appreciation!!!!

    Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Are the cards at least on the registry in your name? That way at the least no one can register them.

    If not, keep your eyes open and see if anyone does try to register them later.

    maybe an unwitting buyer will, then you may trace back to who the thief was.

    Again sorry this happened to you.

    Good for you.

    Did it appear that someone burglarized your house to get the cards or were other items taken also? If just the cards were taken than it was someone that knew the hobby and what you had. If other items were taken than the theif might not know the cards can be tracked by the cert number.

    If you haven't registered them yet - do it now.

    This way, if someone else tries to register - you can notify Cosetta or BJ that these cards were stolen. Once they know who is registering - you may be able to track back to who it is or who they bought them from.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • The stolen cards that are 1998 Donruss Century Marks are all in the PSA registry ("Mark's Century Marks"). Some of the other types of cards were registered, but many were not.

    Burglars stole many items, no reason to believe tha they were targeting the cards.

    Set registry has left the cards posted.

    I am checking all internet card sales and auction sites and have friends checking various card shows. But all the help possble is really appreciated. If you see a large group of 1998 Donruss Signature Series Century Marks for sale please let me know.

    Thank you!!!!!
