Mechanical Error submission, strange status...and a small rant

Note that line #1 is missing. Look at the note at the bottom. It has been the same status for the better part of the week. Did they lose it?? From the SGC thread earlier, do you think Joe Orlando took the card and borrowed money on it....like $4 or something??

Oh...and a rant about Mechanical Error submissions. I feel like I am doing PSA a favor by, 1) sending these cards back to get them corrected, and 2) accumulating them and sending them all at once (13 on this submission) rather than sending them back one at a time. Did you know it benefits you MORE by sending them back to PSA one at a time. I received my "SORRY FOR YOUR TROUBLES VOUCHER"...for a 1-card freaking submission...at the 60+ day bulk time period, no less...had I split the shipment into 5 or 6 submissions back to PSA, I could of at least gotten enough vouchers to make it worthwhile to actually send a "free" submission back in. That doesn't even cover my shipping costs to get the cards back to them...maybe it's time to contact Cosetta and settle down image

Overall PSA does a great job and I am very happy.

However, the quality control area is in need of improvement. My last two mechanical error submissions came back with additional different mechanical errors. So now I have to send back cards that have already been there two times. The strange thing about it is the fact that I listed each card exactly like they are listed in Beckett on the sub form. I even printed out a sheet with all the cards listed and a decription of each telling what was wrong with them and how they need to be corrected.

I just don't get it sometimes. Like I said, overall, I am very happy with what I get. This one area, which happen to be one of the biggest, seriously needs to be addressed.

Geeze - how can they screw these up with simple card names such as:

2000 DONRUSS GRIDIRON KINGS GK-7 RANDY MOSS STUDIO SERIES Card

    and

2000 COLLECTOR'S EDGE MASTERS SENTINELS S11 PEYTON MANNING MASTERS SENTINELS

    and

    1998 COLLECTOR'S CHOICE STARQUEST-SERIES 1 SQ89 MARK McGWIRE STARQUEST-SERIES 1 Card

If all the info is there, right in front of the person doing the flips, no matter what or how long the name of the card is, there is really no excuse besides being careless.
  • There's 2 Mark McGwire PSA 10 cards on ebay I was looking at last night. 1 is labeled the 1988 Topps #3 no white triangle, and the other 1988 Topps #3 white triangle. They are in fact both the white triangle variation, and they are from the same submission. I know these aren't as bad as some of the label errors, but who the hell is putting the flip in that says "no white triangle" when there is very clearly a freaking white triangle on the front of the card?
