Initial grade poppoage is showing few .5s

There have been an early couple of submissions shared so far with a very low percentage of .5 grades - I believe the one was 3/99. Anyway, not what I expected - how about you?

I believe they were raw subs. I'd like to know how many reviews that are sent in specifically looking for the extra .5 will get the bump.

My review sub(s) should be completed by next week. 60 cards sent. I will post results.

I'm not concentrating on raw .5's. I think what the .5 will be mainly used for will be reviews. I think they will be using the whole grading standards and then for only a select few that are outstanding will they use the .5. If we see alot of .5's I think that would not be a good thing. I can honestly admit that I don't think I would truly know what the difference between a 6.5 and 7 and 5.5 and 6 especially with what I have considered inconsistant grading lately.

in case you guys aren't clear , the 1/2 grade is NOT an option for the grader , it is the exception meaning that they are not part of an arithmatic equation or grade scale. really I don't know what they are but if you are expecting any normal distribution in grades between 1/2 grades and whole grades you are mistaken.

    D-Dawg,

What do you mean .5 isn't an option for the grader?

Whether it's a review or a raw submission, there can't be two grading standards. It's either a .5 card or it isn't.
