Used to be well over 50. I wonder why no one has a complete set any more?

My wife has been collecting rolls and rolls of each state quarter for quite a few years now for my son , I'd just like to know if she is missing anything that I might not know about ?
Where there any special issues or anything or just the 50 states
I think she has about 10 rolls for each state .
Thank you for any help .

What is being disussed here is the Satin finish coins that are only avialable in the mints sets, and the Business strike coins that you have in your rolls from the bank.
Do you know how many mints there are and do you need them all to make one set ?
I was just asking my wife and I was way off in my thinking .
I have found this forum pretty interesting , taking the elevator up from Card and memorabilia forum downstairs .
There is so much I don't know so I will try to read as much as I can before asking too many stupid questions .
She is the coin collector in the family , I like cards and memorabilia , but something hit me and this seems like something I could definitely get into as well .
Thank you for your time and any information is greatly valued .

For the state quarters program there are three mints in play the Philadelphia mint, and the Denver mint, make the Business strike and mint sets coins. Additionally the San Francisco mint mints the Clad and the Silver proofs.
So it is up to the collectors to chosse what he/she wants to define as the set.
Plus I will throw in the fact that they are just a potion of the Washington quarter series as the start was in 1932 as a commerative coin. That proved to be popular.
Myself I stick to the circulation coins and not the proofs, but some people like the proofs.
This link will take you to the quarter registery page where you can click on links to the different sets and get an idea of how varied this hobby can be. Link to the quarters.
BTW aboard and enjoy the ride.
