I though it looked great on Rob's website but I was blown away by it's beauty in hand.

Thanks guys. I am really pleased with it and don't plan on ever selling it. I quite fancy collecting more gilt proof farthings or halfpenny's if opportunities arise.

I agree George III wasn't the most handsome monarch but he did have a lot of coins produced for him with some being rather nice ones.

Lord M your ex Irish proof farthing looks like a real stunner. My pictured farthing isn't a pattern but a proof as well. It grades aFDC as it it's slabbed.

It was a penny, actually. Big sucker. Too bad I no longer have it, or a picture that does it justice.

Those gilt proofs are just amazing in hand, particularly the ones with Cameo/DCAM contrast, as yours (and my old Irish penny) have.
