But I have Marion (who's an absolute double/double beast) on my fantasy team and our post-season follows the NBA's playoffs.

Guaranteed playoff spot to Miami?!?!

    Phoenix is looking over there shoulder now that the lakers are improved with there p/u of Gasol. If Phoenix does complete the trade I think it would be more of a "get inside Kobe's and Phil's head" move, than a move to better team.

    Marion would improve Miami, but who wouldn't right now.

    As a Heat fan, I like the trade a lot. Although Shaq brought a championship to Miami for which I'm grateful, I just think that at his size the injuries are going to continue to mount and his playing time is going to continue to diminish. His contract was also a tremendous albatross. Not that Marion's is a whole lot better, but at least it expires after next season.

    As a benefit to Phoenix, with a playoff spot pretty much guaranteed by now, they can afford to let Shaq rest for the next couple months and hopefully help him to be healthy for a strong playoff push. Could be a win/win for both teams.
