I had the same thought, I know some of mine are one ounce. Maybe show a pic of what you are looking for.

I'm betting those would be acceptable.

  • I saw this post and was intrigued. So I googled "silver strikes" and looked them up on Wikipedia and now I know ... uh ... still nothing about them other than that they LOOK cool (I eBay'd them, too).

So that this post is not off-topic, I would consider buying [or trading for] whatever ones that alohagery does not want (I intend to extend any offers I get to him first because I don't want to step on any toes here!) PROVIDED the offeror kindly *ALSO* PM's me with some background on the topic. (And if anybody wants to educate me [a tough task of itself] by PM without any to sell currently, that's cool too!)

    Thanks much!

As long as we are talking about it, aren't the $10 ones worth $10 if you walk into the casino and lay them down?

Well I have a couple of these from Lake Tahoe, Nev.. I have taken these out of thier airtites and cannot see any indication of the outside ring being anything different than silver. So where does this come from??

I've got one, and not long ago, think I remember hearing as well that the outer rim is a different metal (brass?) and only the inner part is silver.
