PSA Acceptance ??

Hey all of you eagle-eyes...I need your opinion on these 3 1970 Topps cards. I pulled them from pages in an album of a set I have been slowly putting together for the last 10 years or so. They looked good, but I always struggle with vintage submissions. Are these PSA acceptable...like 8's or higher?

Thanks in advance....

I say brock has a shot
perry has the corners but not the centering..
    I think mccovey is a lay up 7.. outside 8.. proly 7.5
  • It's probably just me, but the Brock's right edge looks all messed up. The HR Leaders has some kind of funny tilt...or curved right edge.

The perry looks like a 7, though.

The cards had a curl to them and I left the scanner lid open to get the black background. I changed the background and was able to flatten out the cards for a more true view...

    Now what do you think?
  • FWIW, I think the Brock is a 7 -- LR corner has white showing. I think the other 2 are probably 8's...although all of them might be 7.5's image

Much better. I still think the Perry is a 7...I think the HR leaders is too. The Brock's right edge still looks MC to me, though. The right edge on the Perry looks a little MC too...but I doubt it's enough to get you a qualifier. Just my .02.

7's across the board. The Brock may get an 8 depending on whether the tilt is not so harsh that the centering guidelines for an 8 are met.

They should be 8s. PSA is not that tough on this set comparitively.

I too was thinking they look like solid 8 candidates.
