What was your favorite play of the Superbowl?

Although the Eli to Tyre pass/catch was awesome, I loved watching Alford squashing Brady at the end of the game. I could watch that over and over and over and never get tired of it.image

Was that the play where he flew backwards 5 yards?image

I loved that one, it made it third and 20 after that and pretty much sealed the deal.
  • Yep, I love watching that replay on Sportscenter. Kind of reminded you of those Terry Tate commercials.
  • manning scrambling away from the old and tired pats defense....lofting the miracle pass...caught on top of his helmet with his fingers... awesome stuff

made up for a relative snoozefest!
  • "The Great Escape" (as someone else called it here). That was one for the ages.

The Alford hit was massive, but I liked Jacobs blowing up Merriweather early in the game.

<< <i>It's pretty tough to top the Manning/Tyree play. It very well may be the number one NFL play of all time. Here are all of the merits of that one play:

    1) It was in the Super Bowl
    2) It was on the winning drive of the Super Bowl
    3) It was on a 3rd down play with only 1:15 remaining in the game
    4) There were two INCREDIBLE aspects to that one play and not just one. The scrambling was AMAZING, and the catch was every bit as good if not better
    5) It was against the Patriots, and 18-0 club that many heralded as the best team of all time

We'll be watching that one for a long, long, long time. Imagine if the Giants hadn't won? That play, though still great, would not have mattered.
