Legit Autos? - opinions please

[SKIP DOWN IF YOU DON'T REALLY CARE TO HEAR THE STORY BEHIND THESE]

Hey everyone. Okay, so here's the story. In 1988 I had a little card shop based out of the basement of my parents' house. I was 16 at the time so I would often come home from school and find the neighborhood kids with their bikes hanging out on my folks' porch waiting for me to get home.
Mostly I sold packs of stuff you couldn't get at the store (we're in Toronto so this included everything except OPC and leaf). Basically, it was just a way to make a bit of lunch money. No big deal... and it was fun to talk cards with anyone back then.
Anyway, so one of these neighborhood kids was my younger brother's biggest rival: David S. He was a snotty little kid with a chip on his shoulder.
So I had an 84 Donruss Mattingly rookie which at the time was one of the biggest cards in the hobby. David desperately wanted this card... he thought he could 'flip it' for more money to his cousin.
But David didn't have the $50 or so bucks it was booking for.
Every day, David would show up with a handful of cards he wanted to trade for. Nothing special, and nothing I was really interested in... until one day he came in with a plastic case of about 20 cards.
And they were all signed.
Of course, knowing David was a bit of a sh.t disturber, I was very very wary. I figured he went home, got a sharpie, and went through his collection and signed everything he could find.
But at this point, I was getting kind of sick of him hanging around my house (until dinner time) begging me to trade for that Mattingly.
So after about the ninth day, I took the cards and really studied them. I was sure he had faked them. But I wasn't positive. He said that he got them from his older brother when he went down to Florida.
Finally, I relented and traded for the lot. Besides, the latest Beckett had the DR Mattingly on the way down.
Then, I put the cards in a drawer and actually forgot about them until just before THIS Christmas.
At a Christmas party at my folks house, I met my neighbor who knew David's brother Paul.
I told my neighbor this story, about the cards I had just found, and his eyes lit up. He said that Paul's folks actually let him get out of school for the month of March so he could work as a bat boy for the Blue Jays spring training team in Dunedin Florida up until (he thought) 1986. This fit with the fact that none of the cards were post-86.

With this new knowledge I began to search Ebay for autos by the players I have. And lo and behold, a lot of them look bang-on. So it got me wondering: are these autos legit?
These are 12 of the 20 or so autos I got (I also got Jack Morris, a few Gaylord Perrys, another Sutton and two other Martins).

With that said... what are your thoughts on these...

All good except Ripkens...the Billy's highly questionable but it's pretty close to one of his "fast" sigs.

Actually the Tommy John looks kind of iffy too but he's a $2.00 sig...

The Saberhagen and Henderson look quite good.
  • Henderson looks very iffy to me as well. It might have been a quick sig with a lot of fans around him, but definitely not one of the nicer examples. Part of the value of any auto is eye appeal which the Henderson is severely lacking.
