My favorite episode is when his kayak turns over and he's trapped in the middle of the ocean and the shark (Herman) is circling him. Then he thinks back to the time when his dad would clock how long he could tread water, and also about the day they delivered the news that his dad was killed in battle.
Honorable mention goes to what was meant to be the series finale when Magnum gets shot in a warehouse, is caught in limbo between life and death while in a coma, then walks off into the clouds with John Denver's "Lookin for Space". If you don't get chills watching that episode then you have no soul.
One of my favorite episodes is when Simon and Simon show up. I remember they did a crossover on Simon and Simon with the same plot. It was pretty good.
To be honest, I LOVED Magnum PI, gosh I looked forward to every Thursday night to watch it......I went to Hawaii a few years ago and went looking for Rick at the King Kamehameha Club, sadly I could not find it.....
Rick's stepdad was Francis Hofstettler AKA Icepick.
I'll take Magnum PI trivia for $200 Alex!!
Collecting Interests: Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye.

You gotta love Magnum. Does anyone remember when he showed up at the All Star game at Camdem Yards, 1993 I think, and during a celebrity event was knocking balls out of the park?

Got any PSA 10s?
I have actual water from the shores of Hawaii in the thermos.

My favorite episode is the one where
they open a Kenny Rogers fried chicken place up across the street.
Magnum can't sleep, so he trades appartments with his neighbor
but then he gets really scared of Mr. Marbles in the middle of the night ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"

Or how bout the one where T.C. is dating a "low talker" and convinces Magnum to wear the puffy shirt on The Tonight Show. That was great!
