1868 Greek drachma, a rare type coin, in top condition, no reserve on ebay. A light and inobtrusive scratch held it to PCGS MS62, hence the scarce opportunity of a good bargain.

Hi Everyone:

Just got a huge shipment of premium ancient roman coins in.

Premium means no culls, slugs, or other useless garbage. Nice mix of sizes. Nice details for the price!

A check of Emperors showed Constantine The Great, Constantine II, Constantius II, Crispus, Valens, Valentinian I, Valentinian II, Gratian, Arcadius, Honorius, Gallienus, Claudius Gothicus, Aurelian, Elagabalus, Caracalla, Trajan, Septimus Severus, Diocletian, Maximianus, Numerian, Quintillius and others. All should be at least partially attributable, with many fully attributable to Emperor, reverse and mint. This lot contains a great mix of Late Roman AE3s and AE4s as well as a good number of larger Antoninianus, and Follis coins and some earlier provincial coins. If cleaning is required, simple soaks in distilled water, light brushing, and then waxing with renwax or paste wax before placing in a flip should be all that is required.

Neat, long-stored (60+ years) item with a numismatic history lesson:

Set of three BU 1939-D German coins(1,2,and 5 pfennig) in an envelope from Tatham Stamp & Coin Company. Inside the envelope, the three coins are inside of a cellophane envelope...they are lightly toned near their rims. Also in an envelope is a typed, folded note from Tatham that reads:

"Coins from war-torn Nazi Germany"

"The set of coins enclosed in this envelope is probably the last to leave the country before it entered into WAR. We believe that no others will appear in this country even after an Armistice is signed. GERMANY has placed a strict law that prohibits any money from leaving the country. We feel we were fortunate in obtaining a very small supply through considerable trouble and expense, so that our customers might have something different than the ordinary run of coins that may be obtained with little difficulty."
