Yeah dizzle, how'd you know? It's actually a nice overall set, but clearly has been picked through for potential 10s and surefire 9s. I'm working on about 4 sets right now in various conditions, so I'll probably just chop-shop it and try and fill some holes.
Estil, sort of, but you can actually end up paying for the set by submitting high end low pop commons that not everybody knows about. For example, if I could've squeezed a PSA 9 Maurice Lucas, Checklist, or Kareem Abdul Jabbar sticker out of the set, it would've probably been paid for. I pretty much expect none of the bigger stars to grade highly because if they did then they would've been submitted already. But all it takes is a nice tough common and you could strike gold.
I'm not in PSA membership yet, so I can't submit anything. Which is a shame because the keys in my 1978 set have a good shot at getting 8's or even higher. Not to mention I got some 9-10 candidates in my 1980s key cards. But after getting that 1975 set from vintagetoppsguy that's loaded with 7's (but sadly 11 cards short), I figure why not get at least the 1974 and 1976 set like that too?

Lol..I bid on that set then he emailed stating he had another for the same price so I picked it up. Mine came in a BGS box..lol. Mine sounds the same as yours as far as condition goes.
Damn you dizzle, stop bidding me up. I can't complain because the guy delovered what was promised, but it kinda took the fun out of it when I saw the PSA box with all the Newport Beach postmarks all over it. I actually got a decent McHale that should be a 9, but that's it.
