Breaking open PSE slabs

What's your method of breaking open PSE slabs? There have been several threads in the coin forum breaking open the PCGS slabs. I have opened several PCGS/NGC/ANACS slabs never hurting the coin, but paper is so much more different. I broke open my first PSE slab today. When those cracks go across the slab, my heart trembles fearing that it's going to damage the paper. I thought I could just "break" off the edges but to no avail. Fortunately, I could see no damage to my stamp.

Bandsaw or Hacksaw. That's what PSE uses when a slab is sent in to be Converted to a paper Graded Cert.

I agree with you, wire cutters or bending is just too risky, considering the fragile contents. One shard in the wrong place and you're scewed.

Well there is something to be said for being tamper-proof anyway.
