Wow, I did not realize the MS70 pops were that low.

These would have brought much stronger money if sold in sealed boxes on e-bay.

Maybe this submitter purchased one of those boxes off of EBay??
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The 67 and 68's are probably due to the coins spotting in the sealed box.

Why wouldn't they BB coins with spots?

Just submitted a 2 pack today myself thats been sitting around sealed since early last year.
I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

I'm hoping my results come out better than though. image

Perhaps PCGS has closed the door on the 70's. They could be seeing alot of their 70's back for spot review. Almost all mine have developed spots.image

I have waited 7 years to submit my 155 buffalo silver proof and unc dollars to PCGS.

Maybe I will wait another 7 years?

It just means that someone else would have bought the problem. Luckily for him none of the coins had milk spots, but now that we know about when those cert numbers were graded we can get some idea of how long it takes to spot if spotting does indeed occur.

FWIW he could have listed them differently on the submission form and had 10 sets each with consecutive cert numbers.

Maybe the box has been kicking around on the floorboard of the pickup for years and some of the coin came out of the capsules. --Jerry

When people submit batches of moderns straight from the mint and get upset because they didn't get any 70s, I find it very difficult to feel sorry for them.

    would that bring a premium?

yeah i was going to do that, but you need to list every coin individually, and i don't have the patience for it and did it ever mean anything?

Any one know what the still sealed boxs of ten sets are bringing on eBay these days?

Couldn't hurt since it wouldn't cost any more to do it one way vs the other. It might bring a small premium as it would indicate that each coin came from the same set as opposed to cherrypicking a bunch of different sets.

i do see that there could be a market out there. i wanted to show in my auction that the cert numbers were 10 diigits off as it was a full case submission. it may have helped, never kept track, then the spots hit and the whole thing went south

Resealed boxes from Mint from returns. Some people know how to look at coins and grade them, they had to be resends.
