Ebay Answer: Cover up the denomination

After having tweleve ebay auctions ended for Canadian proof $20 silver coins, because I listed
the denomination, which ebay considers a violation of their policy against "referencing the price
guide" for raw coins, my protests received this reply....

Dear Frank,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your coin listings being removed.

The best way that we can suggest listing your coins would be to take a
picture with the denomination covered up with something. So
either use photoshop to block it out, or place something over it when
you are taking the picture.

I apologize for you receiving conflicting information. I can see how
this can be somewhat confusing. We are still reviewing this new policy
and how it affects our members.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Reine

Frank - you're gonna' have to come to grips with the fact that maybe eBay just hates you for some reason?

Maybe ebay is just trying to get into the next DUMBER AND DUMBEST movie, that takes the cake!

    Loooooooooooool.

Exactly why I am not using eBay for anything any more except for occasional purchases from my favorite sellers!

The thing that strikes me as absolutely stupid is that they would take down a LEGITIMATE coin with a LEGITIMATE denomination/face value. Next thing we'll see is that we can't sell $1,000 and $5,000 bills because of the "large" face value amount.

With all these ridiculous policies they're coming up with, pretty soon, we'll have to sell and picture all our things in a brown cardboard box.

If someone told me that eBay would be dead by 2009 or 2010, I would believe them.

what kind of ass-backwards policy is that??

Ebay screws you on fees, screwing over sellers with the new feedback system, robs you blind with Fee-pal, and ends your auctions for stupid things like this.

As I mentioned in another thread, "boundless capacity for stupidity." Why doesn't this shock me.

So - you'll have to place a sticker on the holder to block the denomination...that sounds interesting!image

    Ebay doesn't like you, Frank.
Maybe they read these boards image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
