Anyone ever heard of or worked with these people?

Recently, our Chamber of Commerce decided not to heed my advice and let me take care of a sports memoribilia auction they were having. So, they went through a company based out of Westlake Village, Ca called Signature Events. Anyone ever dealt with these people?
Some of the stuff sold, but a Peyton Manning auto ball didn't and neither did a Clemens auto ball. Below was the price list. All this stuff was certified by GAI.

Peyton Manning Auto Football with display - $375
Roger Clemens Auto baseball w/display- $295
Earnhardt Sr. Framed Piece- $145
Tony Stewert Limited Edition photo with piece of car - $90
Brett Favre auto photo- $165
Payne Stewert Lmtd Edition US Open photo- $149
Matt Damon photo- $110

Thanks!

At least it was GAI, although that doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. However, it's a heck of a lot better than the typical small-town auctions that you see for schools and the like. I've been to a few fundraising auctions and could only laugh at the Joe Montana and Jerry Rice autos with not even an attempt at a COA. They were still going for hundreds of dollars.

    Stupid is as stupid bids.

I've heard of the Chamber of Commerce but never worked with them. image
  • I thought the Clemens ball was a bit pricey.
  • You can pick up Matt Damon photos on Ebay for 59.99 authenticated by PSA DNA, or when they let them run at auction between 15-30 bucks...
  • Here's the website of the company. I just don't know anything about them.

If it's the people I'm thinking of they were set up at Hollywood Park last weekend, with one of the ex Global guys behind the desk.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • What did you think about their booth?
