Any word yet on being able to pedigree modern sets?

I remember hearing something about modern sets being able to receive pedigree in early 2002. Anyone heard anything yet?

I've contacted PCGS on several occassions and they've been putting it off since May 01. Now, the story is still sometime this year but unsure when. They won't even say what the holdup is either. This is right from the mouth of Gayle, the lady that runs the PCGS registry.

I asked Gayle a week or two ago. She implied there could be ranking changes when they weight the type sets, and they don't want to pedigree before that. Those were not her exact words, but what I picked up between the lines. I've been bumped from the top 5 of the modern MS type set, so unless I can climb back up, I'm no longer a candidate in any set I own.image

I was just wondering that myself today. Not that I am even near Top Five in Modern Type, but we can dream, can't we? I lack three coins for completion, and if my grade average stays the same I might be able to get close. Top Five will take some serious upgrading, though, even though I have only one coin below a 62...
