More Poppage: December $5 Special

Went to the post office this morning to pick up my package from PSA. I shipped these cards out on 12/31, the last day of the holiday special. Overall, I'm very pleased with the grades, especially the 1978 PSA 10 Rose. image All of these cards were pulled by me from wax and rack packs.

    Clutch.

If you don't mind me asking, why all the OCs?

    Nice job Grote

IMO if you are going to send in an OC card it better be a high dollar card or a MINT one.

The 9OC cards, with the exception of the 73 OPC Aaron, were all marginally OC and could have gone either way. I've had straight 9s with similar subs, but these are for my sets, so I'm not looking to get rich. I've also found that PSA is very tough on the 79s when it comes to centering, too, more so than most issues, and they like to assign the 9OC grade if the card is otherwise gem mint. For one reason or another, I always have a bear of a time with the 79s, and would be better off just buying them already graded, but it's more fun for me this way, if not profitable. The one PSA 10 79 card made it all worthwhile for me, though, LOL.
