Anyone ever deal with Redzone on Ebay a/k/a "shaqfu"?

Curious about service, accuracy in grading, etc.

Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron. Plenty of old threads on this outfit. I've seen more against than for. I bought 1 complete set of 1971 DADS COOKIES Hockey set of which a majority went to PSA and came back mostly 8's and 9's and a few 10's.

Heard/read numerous times about him overgrading his raw stuff, but I did buy a few graded cards from him for decent prices and received excellent service...

I bought a 20 card PSA graded lot of 65 topps from him and all were sweet.

with that said, I have heard bad things regarding that outfit and home meade game used cards and raw cards that were over graded. Brian48 and his Orr card had them somwhere into that deal as well.

If you are buying already graded you should be ok. Other then that I'd be wary.

I agree with all of the above...like everyone else on ebay, raw is overgraded but you buy graded from him and you will get good service

Interesting, I've bought only graded from him, always gotten fast service and real solid shipping. Some don't like his prices, I felt they were fair for the quality I got. Never bought raw from him so I can't comment on that.

He has been caught replacing single-color swatches with fake fancy patches (on a serial #ed card, so it's conclusive). He may have been the person responsible for tampering with a slab to replace a Bobby Orr rookie with a fake (the victim was a board member and there were several threads about it) - at the very least, the card seems to have been switched by no later than the time it left his hands.

I'd stay far away on any card where altering it might be financially worth his while.
