CANADA 1941 50c with Die Rotation

I discovered I have this CANADA 50c piece in VF+ (maybe XF) which has a 10-15 deg. Die Rotation.

Gene, other Canadian Coin experts: is this a common error? What do you think the premium would be?

Will post pics if needed. Thanks!

10-15° die rotation has almost no premium in my experience. The big money is the 45° + 90° rotations.

  • Thanks Gene. I was checking here and did not see a mention of the 1941 50c piece. I'm pretty sure the coin I have is precisely at 15 degrees counter clockwise.

Interesting site. They even state that less than 15° is not listed.

I believe most collectors would miss a rotation error of 15° or less. Especially on small coins. Here's a test:

Take a 1c or 10c piece. Hold between thumb and forefinger at the 12 and 6 o'clock position. Turn the coin to look at the reverse. Now turn again in same direction to look at the obverse. Did it come back exactly at 12 and 6?
