So what about crossing a PD for the bump??

Say you have a '58 Topps WSF Aaron/Mantle that is a blazer graded PSA 8, borderline Mint 9, with the PD qualifier for the common snow found on this issue. I understand a PSA 8Q = PSA 6 for the registry...question being can it be bumped even with the qualifier? Maybe a dumb question, but I am prepping a sub for review and really believe that this card could easily move up but don't want to trash the money if I needn't. Thanks in advance!!

Nevermind...sorry for the dumb post, this will have to be a crack I guess, way too much flu medication coarsing through my veins

Qualifiers are not eligible for half grades. Not sure if you were asking about the half grade or a possible full grade bump.

  • Should have been more specific...I am looking more for the entire grade bump, perhaps to a straight 7, as this is an older grade (hologram)and the snow on my card is a great deal less than many I have seen obtain the straight grade on more recently graded cards.

  • If PSA looked at a card a second time they could decide it should be a full grade up. Likewise, they could decide it should be a full grade down.

Hammer only way you can try and get that card bumped is to send it in raw.

It may not get the PD this time around.

You do risk getting it in a lower holder too though.
